Lea’s filmed choreographic reconstruction of The Miraculous Mandarin will form part of Jasmina Cibic’s exhibition at The Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead this spring. The work features dancers Harry Alexander, Ruben Brown, Anders Duckworth, Eleanor Perry and Josh Ben-Tovim.

Full Bloom Festival: Evening Performance

 

A festival of dance for and by older people at Trinity Arts, Bristol
28th January 2018: Starts 19:00 to21:15

Full Bloom Festival – join Gerry’s Attic over 55’s Dance Company for their evening performance.

7:00pm: A discussion panel with speakers from Pavilion Dance South West, LinkAge and Lea Anderson, talking about dance for older people.

7:30pm: Interval

8:00pm: Come and see a dazzling performance showcasing the tireless work of Gerry’s Attic Dance company, including a new piece. – Flying Head and Monkey Boy,  by Lea Anderson with guest performances from Yama ad Striking Attitudes.

Prices and Admission: Tickets for the evening performance are £7. This evening’s performances are part of the Full Bloom Festival which includes daytime workshops.

Lea is working with Gerry’s Attic dance company at Trinity Arts Centre, Bristol.

We are making a new short mash-up work to be shown in early 2018.

Dressing The Part- December in Copenhagen

Lea will be running a workshop in Copenhagen on December 14th and 15th 2017. The workshops focus on appropriate movement vocabulary in relation to garments when wearing costume in performance.

Ladies & Gentlemen Autumn Tour Begins

Excerpts of Ladies & Gentlemen were presented  at the Festival of Thrift in Redcar this weekend. The show in its entirety will open this week at Chapter Arts in Cardiff, – September 28, 29, 30. The work will then be touring through October.
